Revision of the LATE PAYMENTS DIRECTIVE

(Hattersheim, Germany, 3 May 2010)  FEDEMAC on behalf of the professional Removal and Storage companies throughout Europe commends the decision taken by the European Parliament Internal Market Committee and invites action by Council of the EU to make sure that matters are now put into practice via the Small Business Act.

Arnaldo Righetti is the new President of FEDEMAC

(Brussels, 21 November 2009) The Federation of European Movers Associations (FEDEMAC) e.V. elected Arnaldo Righetti as their new President at the General Assembly on 21 November 2009 in Brussels, Belgium. Righetti, from Italy, succeeds Lucien Pot who has just completed a 3-year presidential term. Pot, from The Netherlands, will continue to serve on the FEDEMAC Board.

Revision of the Eurovignette Directive

A 'Joint-Industry' Stakeholder'' Response Paper signed by AEL (Alliance for European Logistics), CLECAT (The European Association for Forwarding Transport Logistic & Customs Services), EuroCommerce (The Retail, Wholesale and International Trade Representation to the EU), EEA (European Express Association), ESC (European Shippers Council), FEDEMAC (Federation of European Movers Associations) and the IRU (International Road Transport Union) has been issued pointing out the Industry's ongoing concerns and views following the European Parliament's TRAN (Transport & Tourism) Committee vote (11.02.09) on the so-called "Eurovignette III" (proposal to revise the Eurovignette Directive - amending Directive 1999/62/EC) on the charging of heavy goods vehicles for the use of certain infrastructures.
